9 DAY SALKANTAY TREK TO MACHU PICCHU
9 days / 8 nights

Take this opportunity to see the Andes in all of its raw splendour. A great alternative to the Inca Trail, the Salkantay trek is a true commune with nature. You will see a great variety of Andean flora & fauna, typical wildlife of the region, and many local communities who all have their own unique contributions to the area. A bit more physically demanding than Lares or the Inca Trail, this trek will take you to a maximum height of 4650 meters and some truly eye-popping views.
Your tour culminates in a visit to the enigmatic site of Machu Picchu. The ruins, discovered in 1911 by Hiram Bingham, remain a mystery to this day. While many scholars have opinions on Machu Picchu, its true origins and purpose remains a mystery to this day. The site is one of the truly forgotten Wonders of the World
