9 DAY CHOQUEQUIRAO TREK AND MACHU PICCHU
9 days / 8 nights

One of the true mysteries of Incan culture is the location of the last city of the Incas’. The Spanish Conquistadors actually had envoys living in the city side by side with the Inca but for some strange reason, no record has ever been discovered which shows its location. What we do know is that the city was located somewhere in the Vilcabamba region. Choquequirao was first documented by the Spanish in 1710 and mapped by Hiram Bingham in 1910.
Although there is no concrete proof, many scholars look on Choquequirao as the last city of the Inca.
The Choquequirao trek is much more demanding than the Inca Trail. This trek will take you through the Andes, the jungle, swamp, and cloud forest. Although this trek does not reach the heights that some other treks ascend to, your legs will definitely remind you that you have been on a serious hike. Since this is a less commercial location, you will actually camp in then shadows of the ruins themselves.
Do not pass up the opportunity to visit one of the most breath-taking sites of the Inca culture
.
