1: Arrival in Lima, reception and transfer to

2: CUSCO
Transfer from your hotel to the airport for your flight to Cuzco.
Upon arrival in Cuzco, we will meet you at the airport and transfer
you to your hotel. Afternoon guided city tour of the four ruins
nearby; the Sacsayhuaman Fortress overlooking the city of Cuzco,
a pre Inca architectural masterpiece; Kenko, a rock sanctuary
whose main attraction is the monolithic altar representing a
puma, the red Fortress of Puca-Pucara and Tambomachay, a beautiful
fountain fed by a spring forming a series of basins continue
to the city of Cuzco; the Main Square, the Cathedral and the

3: SACRED VALLEY TOUR
After breakfast, we will pick you up for a full day tour of
the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Visit the village of Pisac,
founded during colonial times and set at the foot of a hill
crowned by the remains of an Inca city. On Sundays, Tuesdays
and Thursdays, in the main square, Indians barter their products
and artisans from all over the area sell their woven alpaca
wool blankets and ponchos, engraved gourds, antique reproductions,
jewelry, etc. On Sundays it is also the meeting place for mayors
from all the villages in the region, dressed in their traditional
costumes to attend morning mass. After lunch, we will visit
Ollantaytambo, the only Inca town which was not overthrown by
the conquistadores, and explore the ruins which tower above
it. Our last stop is the small town of Chinchero and there unique

4: CUSCO-CACHORA-CHIQUISKA
Early in the morning we leave Cusco and head north passing the
snow-capped Salkantay (6264m) and Humantay (5217m) mountains.
We will then descend to the Limatambo Valley and through Curahuasi,
known for its anis tea farming. After walking approximately
4 hours we arrive at the town Cachora (2850m) where we meet
with our porters and start our journey. After two hours of walking
we arrive to the Capuliyoc Viewpoint (2800m) where we will see
the amazing Apurimac Canyon and snow-capped mountains in all
directions. We will finally descend approximately 3 hours to
our first camp at Chiquiska (1800m).

5: CHIQUISKA-SANTA ROSA-CHOQUEQUIRAO
After a breakfast we will trek to the Choquequirao Bridge which
is1550 meters above the Apurimac River and is also a natural
division between the departments of Apurimac and Cusco. From
this bridge we walk hard until arriving to the archaeological
site Choquequirao (3035m) passing the village of Santa Rosa
(2500m) where we will take a typical beverage called “cambray”.
at the end of the day we have dinner and camp in the shadow
of Choquequirao.

6: CHOQUEQUIRAO-SAN IGNACIO-CARMEN
Early in the morning after a breakfast we begin a dizzy descend
to the San Ignacio site, having an impressive view of the Apurimac
Canyon surrounded by sub-tropical vegetation. In the afternoon
we will arrive at our camp site in Carmen.

7: CARMEN-HACIENDA TAMBOBAMBA-HUANIPACA
After a breakfast we continue our adventure and close to our
camp site is located the ranch Tambobamba that in the colonial
epoch was inhabited by the Spanish landowners and worked by
many slaves. In the actuality this area offers a great agricultural
and ranching production. Continuing we arrive at our final campsite,
Huanipaca (3150m).

8: HUANIPACA-CUSCO
In the morning we say good bye to our porters then we take the
bus to the thermal waters of Conoc where we will take a good
rest. After lunch, we continue the route by bus to Cusco and

9: Machu Picchu tour
Transfer to the train station for the early morning departure
to Aguas Calientes and then a bus ride up to the timeless ruins
of Machu Picchu ruins. Upon arrival to the ruins, you will be
given a guided visit of Machu Picchu for about 2 hours. There
are many theories as to the origins of Machu Picchu but three
of the most popular ideas include a temple to the sun, a fortress
against the jungle inhabitants or a sanctuary for the Incas.
This beautiful city has houses, temples, warehouses, a large
central square, all connected by narrow roads and steps, and
is surrounded by terraces cut into the mountain side which were
used for agriculture. After the tour, free time to enjoy this
magical and spiritual wonder. After the tour, you will have
a few hours to explore at your own pace before taking the afternoon

Day 10: transfer
to the airport for your return flight to Lima and then home.
